The Embedded Forum is back again at electronica 2020, with a series of talks and panels addressing the latest technologies, trends and product innovations in embedded systems, from chips and components to tools, software, boards and modules.
While the topic of edge intelligence has been growing over the last couple of years, this year there is certainly growing implementation of ‘connected’ edge intelligence. This is being driven by applications such as smart mobility and autonomous vehicles, digital health, and consumer technology including things like smart homes, as well as 5G and connectivity technologies.
With all this connectivity, the other major topic is security – how to implement security in hardware, and how to maintain integrity of connected devices through the complete lifecycle of the devices, from manufacture to obsolescence.
Hence the internet of things (IoT) and IoT security will continue to be a hot topic. IoT-specific hardware is important, but software remains the key to successful solutions.
The forum mainly targets design engineers, technical specialists and technical management.
